So, I ended up having something of a VS11.5. 2 Plusĩ) Again, from the site, I downloaded and installed the Powerpack (55 MB).
After installing that, I had Ulead VideoStudio.

0 Plus So nothing about 11.5 here, either.Ĩ ) Since the UK site did not have anything for VS11 in the update section, I went to the site and downloaded the VS11 Patch (the one that's about 27 MB in size). The downloadable package was indeed the full version, it just asked for the old license key.ħ) According to the Help/About box I now had Ulead VideoStudio. So, despite the instructions on the first upgrade page, I did not have to have VS8 on the PC. It asked me for both the new (VS11) and the old (VS8) license keys. and had nothing about 11.5 on it, despite the initial 11.5 page I started from.Ħ) I installed the package.

The site told me I could download VS11.5 upgrade but it would require me to have an existing version of VS installed.ģ) I needed to enter my old VS8 license key before ordering.Ĥ) I had some issues with the purchase procedure (either my browser or more likely the site itself) but - provided that my credit card won't get charged twice - I trust these were insignificant since I finally managed to download the stuff.ĥ) At some point during the process I noticed that the downloadable item was only named. I did have VS8, though, just not on the new PC.Ģ) I went to the upgrade centre of the .uk. Anyway, for the benefit of anybody else trying to make any sense of this, here's what I got installed:ġ) Remember that I had a new PC and I had not installed Videostudio on it, yet. Or frustrating, which ever way you want to look at it. I decided to give it a try and found that the whole thing got quite amusing, really.
